Illuminate.health brings in Pharmacy expertise to the Advisory Board
CARMEL, IN, June 29, 2021 – illuminate.health, a tech-enabled medication management service provider, announced today the addition of Nimesh Jhaveri to the company’s advisory board. As president of Community Pharmacy and Health / Senior Vice President of McKesson Corporation, Jhaveri is responsible for the community pharmacy and health business, including field sales and operations, the Health Mart Franchise, Health Mart Atlas, Consumer Packaged Goods, development and innovation, marketing, independent and national accounts and emerging pharmacy channels.
With Nimesh’s addition to the team, illuminate.health looks to accelerate its work towards the “quadruple aim” goal, including enhanced value to clinicians and patients while reducing costs and improving health outcomes.
To this end, Varun Goyal, illuminate.health Founder & CEO, writes, “We are so fortunate to have Nimesh join our mission. From following Nimesh’s thought leadership to meeting him via Parisa Vatanka and the Digital Pharmacy conference by California Pharmacists Association last year, I’ve been very impressed with his down to earth leadership style, knowledge of the market and passion for elevating pharmacist roles. As digital pharmacy and virtual care evolves, we at illuminate.health see our niche in the pharmacist-led, continuous medication management space to decrease existing fragmentation in care. That’s where Nimesh’s specific expertise in pharmacy will be instrumental in ensuring we are thinking about the strategic and operational side properly, not to mention our business model.”
Regarding his new board position, Jhaveri states, “We’re at a pivotal moment for patient care as the industry finds the right balance of virtual and local. When I saw how illuminate.health is enabling pharmacists in their community with cloud-based programs, it really piqued my interest. Illuminate.health has the right balance of patient engagement and pharmacist collaboration tools along with a service model for pharmacist-led, continuous, relationship-based care delivery. I am thrilled to join the advisory board and look forward to shaping the industry for the better.”
